This role will serve as a key member to the client IT Operations team.  The Director of IT Infrastructure will be responsible for the design, build, and run of the internal network, compute, storage, and virtualization environments.  This includes all voice, viedo, data networks supporting all of the client's various locations.

Description:

Responsible for all network hardware and software, storage area networks, and centralized storage appliances, physical server hardware, network and storage monitoring tools, data center and computer room power and cooling, data center hosting, physical equipment layout and design, physical cable plants, firewalls and firewall management, load balancers and load balancer management, voice/phone systems, video systems, and WAN circuits. The incumbant will provide direct leadership, feedback, and guidance to a team of virtualization and network engineers, administrators, and contractors that support the IT infrastructure environment. The individual selected will also manage operating and capital expenditure budgets for various IT departments and provide spending estimates and book accruals necessary to maintain an operating plan.They will work with property IT leaders and business units to plan infrastructure service refresh cycles that ensure uptime and reliability for the business while capacity planning for future growth. They willl provide metrics and reports to leadership around the performance of infrastructure services and management of service-impacting incidents.  The selected incumbant will be responsible for directing, negotiating, and managing conflict resolution to ensure that cross-functinal team members, often with disparate priorities remain focused on project objectives.  They will interface with and manage the vendor relationship with Telecom, Hosting, Data Center, Infrastructure hardware, and software vendors as they relate to managing the IT Infrastructure.  They will have full supervisory responsibilities. 

Required education and experience: 
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience actively working as an IT professional with intimate knowledge of network protocols and standards
  • Working knowledge in the use of industry standard Project Management methodologies and tools 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand busines processes and map accordingly
  • Capacity to understand and quickly process basic technology concepts 
  • Abilty to adapt to new and changing business environments
  • Ability to operate under the pressure of strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills with demonstrated experience in managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and tactfully with all levels within the organization 
  • Ability to travel up to 15% nationally to other company locations
