Job Summary Starwood Hotels and Resorts seeking a Specialist, Global Channel Strategy and Distribution to support the activation of key OTA and Wholesale accounts. The position is based out of the legacy-Starwood Office in Stamford, CT. The position will focus on two areas: 1) Work with hotels to ensure they are given the necessary training and support to complete their setup work properly, and by the given timeline 2) Work with distributors and third-party switches to ensure a fast and smooth activation process
Part 2 - Job Description
Main Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include: 1. Support hotels by completing rate loading audits, answer general questions, troubleshoot parity issues, and create training documentation when needed 2. Work with accounts and third-party switches to ensure activation schedule remains on target; Includes managing the activation plan, hosting bi-weekly status calls, and escalating outstanding issues to the account management team when needed 3. Liaise with distributors, third-party switches, Starwood/Client IT and other internal stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met by the given timeline and support a successful activation process 4. Liaise with Sales & Revenue Management teams when working on global initiatives, and support these teams with any connectivity related matters Key Accountabilities • 50% - Manage the Activation plans for assigned distributors, ensuring that hotels are being activated within the agreed upon timeline • 25% - Work with Starwood/Client IT, third party switches, and distributors to troubleshoot any issues that may arise pre or post activation • 25% - Execute strategic initiatives for the Connectivity team, and provide suggestions to improve execution where needed
