Position description
As part of the technology team of a digitally-centric advertising agency, the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the developing, executing and mitigating quality assurance activities (including but not limited to functionality, UX, front end display, and ADA/508C compliance) associated with the development and launch of websites, landing pages, applications, tools and HTML5 banner campaigns.

essential functions
  • Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions and requirements that may differ from project to project – project range from landing pages and banner campaigns to large scale websites, applications and tools
  • Interact with the project team members (developers, designers, UX, strategists, project managers) to identify, capture and analyze requirements
  • Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Work with team to incorporate quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle (not simply at the end)
  • Analyze and dissect functional requirements and technical specifications to create and execute test cases
  • Ability to execute testing in a cross-browser/multi-device environment
  • Develop User Acceptance Testing plans and test cases
  • Establish and maintain test cases and test data in a well-organized and clearly communicated manner
  • Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance
  • Participate in all phases of testing (development, production, remediation)
  • Conduct required ADA compliance testing
  • Estimate QA project scope
  • Consistently seek to identify improvements in the QA process
  • Manage project team expectations and deliver project tasks on time
  • Proactively identify risks
  • Ensure that quality assurance deliverables meet or exceed expectations
  • Develop internal and client facing QA documentation

  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or equivalent preferred)

  • 3-5 years of experience in functional, accessibility and creative testing in an agency or website team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; verbal and written
  • Impeccable organizational skills, thrives in a fast paced environment, great at managing details and multiple things at once
  • Desire to be part of team that is innovative and results focused

  • Familiarity with various testing, bugtracking and collaboration tools (Jira, Trello, Browserstack, Basecamp, BugHerd, HipChat, others)
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience developing and executing test plans in support of website ADA/508C compliance
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools a plus
