Cronin seeks a Senior .NET/Sitefinity CMS Developer to join our Technology and Innovation team as a contract resource though October, 2017 to develop a high-quality dynamic CMS website. This is an 5-6 month onsite position, working at Cronin's office in Glastonbury, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated developer to work with a great team and be part of the entire development cycle.
  • Architect and code superior technical solutions
  • Create well designed, reusable objects
  • Create efficient and logical databases
  • Create and execute project work plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Communicate and enforce best practice coding standards
  • Consistently deliver high-quality services on schedule
  • Communicate complex information effectively to team, and possibly the client
  • Able to create clear technical documentation, excellent inline comments, and contribute to the creation of user-facing documentation
  • As Sitefinity expert, serve as trainer to team members

  • 7+ years' work experience as a professional developer, using the following languages and tools:
  • Professional standards-based web development using ASP.Net, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript
  • .NET based language (C#)
  • SQL Server 2008/2012 and SQL Reporting Services
  • Experience using Visual Studio
  • Specific experience with Telerik's Sitefinity CMS (minimum version 8)
  • Experience implementing Sitefinity OME and DEC a plus
  • Experience with Beanstalk & Git
  • Windows-based server administration for client and internal websites
  • Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web application
  • Understand browser-specific compatibility issue
  • Expertise in the implementation, and deployment of user-centric software
  • Experience developing technical documentation, contributing to creation of user documents

  • Creativity along with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines, as necessary
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Experience collaborating with designers, UX, and project managers in an advertising/digital agency or highly creative environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong proofreading and QA skills
  • Positive, productive team player
  • Desire to teach and help others learn

  • Bachelors or Associate degree in IT discipline. 7+ years in .NET development desired.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Microsoft or Sitefinity development certifications, a plus.
