NOC Technician

Immediate need for a talented NOC Technician. This is a 12 month contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Scottsdale, AZ. Please review the below job description and contact me ASAP.
 
Key Responsibilities:

This position reports to a Access NOC Technical Manager, requires strong interpersonal skills, and routinely interacts with our end-user customers, as well as with internal network, engineering and customer care support organizations, field operations, external service providers/carriers and equipment vendors during normal service provisioning and trouble resolutions. Requires shift rotation work supporting after-hours, weekends and holiday coverage. This positions requires this person to be able to work a Wednesday to Sunday shift, although a different shift may be assigned at work commencement.

Strong, demonstrable experience with:

• VoIP networks and networking equipment
• TCP/IP networking concepts
• Windows and UNIX/Linux operating environments
• WAN circuits; Serial and MPLS T1's, EVC's, DSL, Cable and Cellular Wireless

Additional Skills Needed

• Strong computing and typing skills
• Strong oral and written communications ability
• Proficient reading and writing clear, concise technical reports and letters
• Good negotiation and listening skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize proficiently in fast paced environment
• Reliable, Punctual, Dependable
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Comfortable interfacing with all levels of organizational management

Education / Experience
• Associates/Technical Degree or equivalent experience
• Network fault and performance monitoring including:
• Trouble ticket management (create, resolve, escalate and manage through to resolution)
• Prompt identification, impact analysis and corrective actions associated with network degradation or outage events
