We are currently looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our client’s team in the Smyrna, Georgia area!
This is a 3 Month W2 Contract-to-Hire position. Interview process will include a phone and a F2F interview.
Note: Not open to 3rd party/C2C consultants. This position is only available to those who can work on W2 basis without a sponsored work visa. Visa Sponsorship is not available.
The Data Scientist will develop the analytical infrastructure and computational capabilities that drive decision-making and impact the performance at Asset Protection. By partnering with business leaders and leveraging company and industry data, this role will develop predictive systems and algorithms for identifying trends and driving business solutions. This position’s primary focus is to manipulate large datasets to extract meaningful business information using statistics, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
  1. 50%-Design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights
  2. 20%-Establish scalable, efficient processes for large scale data analyses, model development and model implementation
  3. 20%-Present analysis and resulting recommendations to senior management; Leverage data to present a compelling business case to optimize investments and operations
  4. 10%-Communicate and educate technical and non-technical employees on analytics and data-driven decision making
What you can bring to the table (must-have, required):
  • 5 years of experience in Data Mining and Statistical Analysis.
  • Previous work experience in retail.
  • Experience with large-scale data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify key insights from data to solve business problems.
  • Work experience with R, Python, SAS, SQL, Google Big Query, Teradata, DB2.
  • Expert knowledge in large scale information retrieval and statistical analysis.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Math or related quantitative field.
Bonus Points (pluses, preferred):
  • Master’s in Computer Science, Math or related quantitative field.
  • Work experience with Hadoop, SAS, HBASE, Cassandra or other similar development platforms.
