Job Title: Database Administrator (DB2/Teradata)

Duration: 6-24 month contract

Job Description:
  • Create complex SQL code packages to extract data from enterprise data warehouses.
  • Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's databases.
  • Compare data across multiple platforms to interpreted business requirements to identify error conditions and/or new requirements.
  • Produce summary and detail reports for operational teams to monitor performance.
  • Maintain data processing routines to ensure service level agreement adherence.
  • Fulfill data research requests as needed.
  • Liaison between business and technology to translate business rules into technical requirements for application development.
  • Contribute to Metadata documentation such as business definitions and data lineage.
  • Leads, mentors and/or provides guidance to less experienced database analysts, where applicable, including guidance for troubleshooting escalated issues.
  • Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Performs moderately complex server-class database activities across various platforms and environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years database design and administration experience
  • 5+ years developing PC SAS
  • 10+ years SQL code
  • 5+ years using Teradata and DB2
  • Ability to transform large data sets into actionable information for operations management consumption
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Wealth Management with in-depth understanding of organizational hierarchy such as Regions, Markets, Managers, Relationship Managers, etc.
  • Understanding of Wealth Management Book of Business concepts such definition of Relationships, Qualified Balance, and Wealth Tiers; Familiar with LOB specific account relationship rules
  • Report development in Microsoft Power BI Desktop and/or Power Pivot
