Job Description: Candidate Qualifications for Tech Lead on MIRS XRE Team:
- Java experience > 10 years
- Strong knowledge in the following areas (Java): Design Patterns, Multithreading, Collections, Concurrency, Performance optimization, Garbage collection tuning, Memory Leaks investigation, Algorithms
- Self organized and highly responsible
- Good communication skills
Experience in:
- Building scalable highly optimized multithread Java applications
- Experience in architecting complex distributed processing systems based on Java
- Technical leadership and mentorship experience
What we don't need/require:
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS experience
- Spring framework knowledge
- DB/SQL experience

XRE (Cross platform runtime environment) is a Clientprotocol and framework to build cloud applications for Xfinity TV the next generation television experience. Our applications are running on more than 10K VMs and bringing linear, video on demand, DVR and application experiences to more than 27M devices. The X1 platform is an award winning customer solution for UI and voice technologies. Customers demand high quality services available 100% and our teams focus on code quality, performance, and controlled deployments to exceed customer expectations.
Our team consists from more than 15 engineers (Developers and QAs) located in Philadelphia and Odessa (Ukraine). We follow Agile and DevOps methodologies with a new major release every 4 weeks.

List of responsibilities for this position:
- Architecture and development of cloud applications (XRE, Java) for the X1 platform
- Code reviews
- Participate in technical discussions
- Code optimization, analysis, performance tuning
- Represent our team during war games and production issues triage
- Mentorship for new team members
