Immediate need for a talented Database Administrator that brings experience in the Financial Services Services Industry. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Newport Beach, CA. Please review the below job description and contact me ASAP.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Our client database team is looking for a seasoned Oracle Golden Gate expert, to work in a fast paced environment, providing both production & development support. This position will work closely with various development groups across the firm, and should demonstrate his/her ability as a technical expert on the team.
Duties:
 Expertise in Golden Gate setup and troubleshooting.
 Point in time recovery and conflict handling.
 Provide production support, solutions and expertise for Golden Gate & SQL Server.
 Ability to troubleshoot difficult production issues quickly.
 Work closely with various development teams across the firm to ensure proper use of Oracle features, best practices, and adherence to database standards.
 Participate in the DBA team on call rotation.
 Perform Golden Gate upgrades/patches as required.
 Help design, maintain, improve and implement monitoring tools.
 Handle DBA tickets, user requests, routine support and maintenance.
 Ability to work off hours / weekends as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
 10 years of experience as a DBA/DBE.
 5 years of experience with Oracle Golden Gate is required.
 PowerShell scripting, Windows Failover Clustering is required.
 Experience with Golden Gate Veridata, Golden Gate Studio, and Management pack is preferable.
 Experience implementing Golden Gate with SQL Server to SQL Server replication is critical.
 Heterogeneous replication and Big Data integration is preferable.
 Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills.
 Good communication skills.
 Good interpersonal skills; able to build consensus and work closely with fellow DBA's.
 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.
