The overall responsibility is to monitor and maintain the IDX Application and ConnectR Interfaces. This individual should have a broad range of experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012 operating systems, associated network infrastructure, personal computers and servers. The application analyst has detailed knowledge of departmental operations, including patient and information flow, all imaging exams, scheduling of patients and imaging procedures, exam preparations, contrast media exam resources and equipment, diagnostic reporting policies and procedures, and film library policies and procedures.
An application analyst should also understand hospital patient registration, associated
backup procedures, medical records processing, and hospital and professional billing
codes and procedures. An application analyst should have detailed knowledge of DICOM standards, PACS and the Modality Worklist Server.

Daily Tasks and Duties:

Add and create Users/Physicians in the IDX System
Monitor the Tracking Module
Merge Patient List daily
Build new exams and add to IDX in both Test and Live
Maintain all IDX dictionaries
Review the Completed Exams Report
Review the Incomplete Exams Report
Monitor Outstanding and Overdue Reports
Monitor Interface Connectivity Module Links
Check Order Queue and fix any exams that are in there with an issue
Monitor System Use
Monitor Outbound Fax Activity
Manage the Billing Cycle
Run and Build Crystal Reports in IDX
Manage Billing exceptions report
Monitor Patient Visit numbers in IDX
Maintain directory for test and PROD Check/Close batches for MMC/MSC/CMC
