Position Summary

Act as a business process consultant for the largest and most complex projects.  Analyze and manage multiple project proposals from initial definition through business proposal and partner with team to manage business requirements, systems design and construction, user acceptance planning and execution, implementation and post implementation troubleshooting.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:   
  1. Research and analyze basic and complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of the organization due to department/ work restructuring, system elevations and upgrades, and automation opportunities.  Design new and improved processes that are efficient and contain the appropriate process and systems controls and check points.
  2. Interview users and business leaders to determine as-is process and context of future business goals and objectives.  Create process maps to document current workflow and systems as well as future business requirements.
  3. Identify simple and complex process and/or system issues, research and discuss alternatives and solutions with business leaders and recommend options to resolve issues within the scheduled project timelines.  May work on the largest and most complex business projects.
  4. Prepare and present management proposals with recommendations on assigned processes and systems for approval.  Update and revise proposals as discussed and ensure all project benefits, issues, resources, impacted employees and departments, etc. are appropriately captured and documented in accordance with department standard operating procedures. Recommendations may include improving processes, increasing efficiency and/or productivity, and enhancing practices.
  5. Prepare the functional design document outlining the new process.  Include all data fields to be captured and the size/content of those fields.  Simulate and test process improvements.
  6. Present process, project, and systems information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public depending on the meeting venue.  Make process, project, and system changes based on feedback and comments as needed.
  7. Maintain strong working partnerships with teammates, clients, designers, developers, testers and vendors at all organizational levels.
  8. Act as the subject matter expert for assigned projects and effectively partner with all levels of staff and functional users during project lifecycle.  Level of involvement may vary with each project.
  9. Assist with implementation including user acceptance planning and execution, implementation and post implementation troubleshooting activities. May provide training to impacted business units.
  10. May lead and direct the work of others on assigned projects.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
 
 
 
 
Education/Experience:
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. 
  • A master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years related experience
  • Project management, six sigma or related certification a plus
 
 
Other Qualifications:  
  • Strong working knowledge of broad banking operations and process design best practices.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
