Quality Assurance Engineer II

Someone that can derive test requirements from technical docs. Work with the manager over the Firmware team. They work with developers early through sprints. Build test plans and test cases then train offshore resources to help with regression testing.
The devices are Android touch screens. They interface with IOT devices for things like sensors, door, window, lights, cameras etc. All the automated security devices for homes. The technology is called Zigby.
Manager preference is to have "embedded device experience " as they'll overlap between server and device testing. They will facilitate testing of CPE device on software stack. They work with complicated tool sets and have a very in depth training to get new employees up to speed.

Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
