We are currently looking for a talented Senior WordPress Developer to join our client’s team in Atlanta, Georgia! This is a Permanent, Salaried position that offers a competitive yearly salary & full benefits. Interview process will include a phone and a F2F interview.
Note: Not open to 3rd party/C2C consultants. This position is only available to those who can work on W2 basis without a sponsored work visa. Visa Sponsorship is not available.
The Sr. WordPress Developer will be an integral member of our client’s client-facing development team that will provide custom solutions to their diverse group of clients.  Working with the account services team to bridge the gap between design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.  Responsibilities will range from working independently on multiple, simultaneously complex projects while serving as a technical consultant and a lead of projects.
Ensure code and elements are properly architected and specified, and review all code for quality assurance purposes.  Establish and guide website architecture.  Design and implement new features and functionality.  Ensure high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.  Formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme and plugin.  Lead and advance the WordPress practice and help develop best practices.
What you can bring to the table (must-have, required):
  • Solid background in WordPress development.
  • Understanding, Development, and Customization of WP Plugins
  • Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Strong HTML5/CSS3 and building mobile first responsive websites
  • Experience building user interfaces for websites and web applications
  • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
  • Understanding and/or implementation of supplemental caching, such as MemCache or REDIS.
  • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
  • Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug and Chrome Inspector
  • Familiarity with the SDLC Process, development tools (JIRA, Bitbucket) and working in an Agile development environment
  • Have first-hand understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analytics
Bonus Points (pluses, preferred):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar, advanced degree nice to have 
  • Considerable experience integrating with RESTful API services and performance tuning large-scale applications.
