Looking for APPTIO Functional Analyst that was involved with the Apptio implementation in the past
Strong understanding on the functionality of the APPTIO components to work with the Business areas

6+ months contract to hire
Location: Newark, NJ,  
  •  1-2 years minimum working experience with Apptio that was involved in the past with an APPTIO implementation and support required
  •  Works with the business units on the functionality of the Apptio components 
  • That understands what IT does (services and applications it supports)
  • That has a financial management background and understands financial IT analysis
  • Experience in formulaic logic such as: MS Excel if statements, vlookup, pivot tables, macros, etc.
  • Experience in data transformation using MS Excel or Access
  • Knowledge and application of relational database concepts
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good with data analytics and data mining.
  • Previous experience working with scripting, report building, etc
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual with a strong technology and financial management background to help operationalize a Technology Business Management solution (Apptio)
  • Works on analysis of complex issues and coordinates the documentation of business needs
  • Participates in the creation of technical documents and high level solution designs
  • Participates in the development, testing and implementation of system specifications.
  • Recommends best practices for delivering business solutions
Apptio Specific Requirements:
  • Collaborate with IT Finance on IT Total Cost of Ownership, financial metrics, and cost transparency initiatives.
  • Import, transform, rationalize and automate data flow from systems of record such as General
  • Ledger, Fixed Assets, ClearQuest, ServiceNow, LeanIX, Planview, Centralized Application
  • Repository, Asset Manager, etc.

Work Experience:
  • 5+ years of related IT work experience preferably in the health insurance industry
  • Demonstrated experience in a lead role in major company initiatives and demonstrated leadership experience
  • Demonstrated progression of professional responsibility
  • Advanced analytical and big data analysis skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff across the organization
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development
  • Knowledge of IT services and financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/infrastructure support

Special Licensing or certifications:
  • Have or work towards achieving a TBMA certification
  • Strong ITIL or Service Management background preferred

  • Requires knowledge of system development life cycle and implementation methodologies
  • Demonstrates understanding of core business functions
