It is the IT Manager's principal duty to mentor, motivate, and lead a team in analysis, design, testing and deployment of our enterprise computer infrastructure.  You will be ultimately responsible for making sure that timelines are met, quality is high, and the IT team is growing and developing.  This role requires close collaboration with all departments in the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must have experience leading and building high caliber IT teams hosting Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications where stability, scalability, and security are mandatory
  • Must work well in a high-pressure environment where near 100% up time is the expectation
  • Must be prepared to respond with the team at all hours when emergencies arise
  • Create, evangelize, and carry out initiatives such as acquisition due diligence and integration, staff planning, projects to improve internal business user productivity, budget planning and management, cost reduction initiatives, etc.
  • Manage and develop a team of geographically distributed engineers
  • Ensure staff is knowledgeable and cross-trained.  Create a collaborative culture where team members feel valued, heard, and respected.  Conduct regular one on one meetings, performance reviews, and compensation reviews.
  • Areas of responsibility include physical and virtual servers, desktop systems, storage solutions, phone systems, public cloud deployments, data centers, monitoring and alerting, BCP/DR, etc.
  • Must have experience developing standard operating procedures, creating security policies, navigating audits such as SOX and SOC2, leading PCI compliance initiatives, conducting security hardening and threat mitigation, implementing BCP/DR plans.

  • Travel up to 25% or more

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or 10+ years equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of infrastructure design/architecture in the SaaS web application industry.  Experience designing servers and networking for SaaS hosting companies.
  • 7+ years of management experience including responsibilities such as: hiring/termination, performance reviews, compensation reviews, resource planning, budget management, etc.
  • Implementing security standards and navigating audits such as SOX, SOC2, PCI, etc.
  • Experience with public cloud technology, such as Azure and AWS
  • Very strong work ethic, exceptional integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
