PC Network, Inc. is currently seeking an F5 Network Engineer to join our team in Harrisburg, PA (possibility of remote work).

Network Engineer

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with both internal staff and external clients.
  • In depth knowledge of F5 BigIP LTM configuration, iRules, management and upgrades. 
  • BS or equivalent and 5+ years directly related experience in routing and switching networking technologies. Datacenter environment preferred.
  • Works well under general direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Checkpoint firewalls including installation, upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Citrix Netscaler configuration and support.
  • Experience in day to day operations of Juniper SRX firewalls and configuration via Junos Space.
  • Fundamental knowledge of routing and switching including Cisco Nexus.
  • General knowledge of other IT related disciplines. 
Job Duties:
  • Configuration, troubleshooting and maintence of F5 infrastructure.
  • Works with clients to gather requirements and deploy application load balancing configurations.
  • Analyzes, implements, and maintains network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, and other devices. 
  • Resolves interoperability and performance problems.
  • Supports network availability for mission critical IT service environment.
  • Provides and implements technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives. 
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Clearly articulates situations / issues to cross-functional teams and clients.
 
 
Location: Harrisburg, PA (possibility of remote work)
