PC Network, Inc. is currently seeking an Enterprise Systems Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia.

Title: Enterprise Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Performs highly technical information technology work dedicated to the engineering,
development, and support of Microsoft Windows systems, architectures, and enterprise
infrastructure. Serves as a high-level technical resource, responsible for integrating
additions and modifications into the existing technical systems environment, ensures the
results are efficient and effective, and avoids disruptions or data losses. Evaluates
proposed system changes and additions, provides input to the decision process, engineers
the assigned systems from a technical and operational perspective, and participates in the
implementation project. Assists in the technical support for one or more enterprise systems
and/or technology platforms, but also participates as part of a cross-functional team dealing
with the full spectrum of technology. Fulfills the role of third level technical support and
provides assistance to other first and second level technical support staff. Additionally, the
Enterprise Systems Engineer will have essential knowledge and experience in
communications and network services technology and will participate in the development of
new enterprise and Internet systems supported by Microsoft Windows server, application,
and core technologies, languages, and services. Support and troubleshooting
responsibilities will include access to, and the handling of, confidential or sensitive data,
materials, and enterprise information.
Essential Functions
• Functions as a technical resource for one or more Microsoft Windows-based servers,
architectures, and networked environments.
• Provides technical expertise and assistance for large-scale Microsoft Windows-based
enterprise oriented projects that span multiple teams and divisions.
• Engineers, implements, and manages, one or more Microsoft-based Internet and intranet
servers/services inclusive of E-mail (Exchange), directory services (Active Directory), web
services (IIS), collaboration portal (SharePoint), conferencing/streaming (LiveMeeting), and
systems/software management (SMS/MOM).
• Coordinates, communicates, and documents changes using change management
processes and tools.
• Assists engineering and support teams with complex troubleshooting issues, inclusive of
operations, systems, applications, telecommunications, and networking disciplines.
• Effects performance monitoring/troubleshooting and system scalability planning.
• Guides and manages new and existing products through product lifecycle.
• Reviews systems engineering designs and technical documentation.
• Administrates and secures enterprise networks, servers, and networking devices.
• Assists with preventative maintenance, upgrade implementation project plans, system
administration strategies, and directory services/identity management schema.
• Tests and validates contingency plans and disaster recovery plans for enterprise server
environments.
• Prepares and presents reports regarding server performance, server utilization, version
maintenance, and security issues.

• Performs investigatory procedures involving computer workstations, end-user devices,
enterprise servers, E-mail, and documents, including situations directly related to
employee acceptable use and criminal violations.
• Professionally and securely handles enterprise information, including confidential and
sensitive data.
• Evaluates and recommends new products and services.
• Provides customer service and support at all levels of the organization.
• Maintains 24-hour per day, 7-day per week availability via mobile telephone or paging
device(s) for response to emergency or related operational issues.
• Develops contingency plans and disaster recovery plans for enterprise server
environments.
• Prepares and presents reports regarding server performance, server utilization, version
maintenance, and security issues.
• Performs investigatory procedures involving computer workstations, end-user devices,
enterprise servers, e-mail, and documents, including situations directly related to employee
acceptable use and criminal violations.
• Professionally and securely handles enterprise information, including confidential and
sensitive data.
• Evaluates and recommends new products and services.
• Provides mentoring and training to technical and engineering staff.
• Provides customer service and support at all levels of the organization.
• Maintains 24-hour per day, 7-day per week availability via mobile telephone or paging
device(s) for response to emergency or related operational issues.This position requires a successful drug screen and background check. To be considered for the position you must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. We do not provide relocation assistance.
