• Daily administration of Splunk utilizing web interface and Linux Command Line Interface (CLI) for new agent installs, repairs and other administrative tasks
• Daily administration of Splunk monitoring and environment
• Manage Change Requests and Incidents via Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system
• Meet with and discuss monitoring solutions and issues with customers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Splunk Monitoring issues focusing on Tivoli and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
• Research and plan for new monitoring offerings and features

Position Mandatory Qualifications
- Technical expert centered around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications- Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions
84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field
60+ months researching, testing, evaluating, recommending and administering enterprise monitoring management systems to support over 3000 servers in a government or state multi-tenant enterprise environment.
84+ months architecting and supporting Splunk Enterprise or Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring on Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012, AIX, Linux, Client, and Solaris based operating systems in a multi-tenant enterprise environment.
36+ months utilizing ITSM system, i.e. ServiceNow, for Change Management and Incident Management.
60+ months gathering and analyzing data relating to system failures.
24+ months introducing new SCOM Management Packs, Web Consoles and other specialized monitoring needs.
36+ months of experience working directly for a
Federal, State or Local government entity.
Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Arts degree.
24+ months working with prospective customers to onboard new data sources like unix, windows and application logs so they can be indexed by Splunk and be available for searches
24+ months of experience organizing, promoting and acting subject matter expert from the Splunk team to Splunk training classes.
24+ Months administering security and access requests and the associated LDAP configuration for users who want to use data available in Splunk.
