1 year Critical Care experience in ICU setting

4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)

5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
36 hours/week with 12 hour shifts. Holidays and every other weekend required. No on call. Will not work alone.

6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
Position is Primarily ICU- may need to care for ICU holders in ER area

7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
ICU - 20
ED - 20

8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
ICU - 2-3:1
ED - 2-3:1

9. Dress Code:
Scrubs (No specific color)

3 day training

Mixed medical/surgical/cardiac ICU

The RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. The RN is expected to perform their duties according to established standards of care and the core values established by the Division of Nursing. Reports to assigned Unit Director.
