General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Position Summary
The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications is required for all Patient Care area Positions.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. Acts as a patient advocate. Provides support, information and direct care. Utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures. Educates patients and families on significant self care issues.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Electronic Medical Record (EPIC), Acudose - medication dispensing system, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, sequential machines, bladder scanners, Hoyer lifts, etc…

Required skills and minimum years of experience.
• 1 year nursing experience
• Chemotherapy Biotherapy administration certificate and / or OCN preferred, but not required.


Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or Delaware or other compact state. Current AHA BLS certification

Shift or schedule requirements.
3 12 hr shifts per week, every third Saturday / Sunday night. No call required, will not work alone.

Floating to other units/departments.
Yes, if not needed on 3E for scheduled shift, medical / surgical, 3W, 5E, 5S, 5W, 5L

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
1:6, 1:4 with 2 or more hazardous drug infusions

Dress Code:
Navy blue scrubs
