General job duties. Types of procedures required.
This is a busy stepdown unit that receives patients from all over the facility and direct admissions from several local SNFs.. This unit serves a large geriatric population with acute and chronic disease states with multiple co-morbidities. Pre/post cardiac cath patients treated on this unit. Variety of pre/post intensive medical and surgical patients. Pre-op open heart patients on this unit.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Phillips telemetry, Accudose medication delivery system (Pyxis is coming Oct. 2018). Meditech documentation in early 2019.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2 years of progressive care/stepdown, basic arrhythmia interpretation

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
Guaranteed 36/36 hours, scheduled 36/48 every other week, weekends per manager, no block scheduling

Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
Floating required by facility's union contract to other med/surg departments

Dress Code:
Gray scrub pants, any color scrub top
