Job Overview
The organization is developing technology applications in the healthcare ecosystem with the purpose to help their members, providers, care givers, and various healthcare professionals. Each application builds on their strategy to develop an inter-connected healthcare ecosystem to lower healthcare costs, improve healthcare quality, and enable access. The IT department is driven by the mission to transform healthcare through technology.
Seeking a seasoned hands-on web development lead to develop and shape the next generation web platform and technologies. The lead will work with other team members to build API's, website and portals primarily on the Microsoft technology stack. The lead will design and build high-quality enterprise software for scale and performance, easier support and maintenance using an iterative process. The lead will establish best practices in code and release management and enforce them using automation and code reviews. The lead will partner with other IT teams, architects and technical operations team to build the next generation software. The lead will participate in requirements gathering, end user support and brainstorming sessions to build high quality, scalable solutions up to specifications.
The Development Lead will be part of the product engineering team and will work collaboratively with other teams to develop highly scalable and maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to the Web Development, Technology/Systems teams.
  • Identify the engineering skills, tools, processes needed by the engineering staff.
  • Establish and/or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures to ensure consistent quality, security, compliance and experience for our customers and employees.
  • Design, manage, and contribute to the development of new features and applications.
  • Building reusable, secure interfaces in a rapid fashion. Build component library for reuse.
  • Drive execution and delivery of roadmap items working with cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle and enforce adherence to standards through regular code reviews, automated testing
  • Clearly communicate schedule and quality expectations and ensure that teams are operating efficiently
  • Provide regular feedback, technical guidance, and mentoring to team members
  • Provide technical thought leadership and help evaluate emerging technologies and 3rd party products.
  • Experienced in building high quality web and mobile applications
  • Designing and developing software-based solutions using .NET technology, SQL Server
  • Design and implement HTTP API services based on the domain, service, and data models and HTTP service API specifications developed with the architecture team
  • Continuously learn and improve upon development techniques and related best practice methodologies
Requirements
  • More than two years working in a lead capacity, mentoring junior staff.
  • More than five years of experience working with Microsoft Technology (.NET, SQL Server).
  • Exposure to healthcare a environment, adhering to the HIPAA guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related area. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing web applications using Microsoft Technology (.NET, SQL Server) and 2 years as a technical team lead on projects.
  • Solid experience in building and consuming restful API's/SOA based solution and various security options.
  • Experience in integration platforms like MuleSoft, Apigee, test tools like postman.
  • Relational database development experience and proficiency with advanced SQL concepts such as complex joins, triggers, cursors, correlated sub queries, analytic functions
  • Familiarity with Web based Client Server technologies, Internet/Intranet applications and PC development skills desired.
  • Programming skills in web-based technologies like JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JavaScript frameworks like angular, react
  • Knowledge of database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle and other RDBMS systems
  • Experience with SharePoint and O365 development a plus
  • Experience with cloud systems is a plus
  • Experience with Hospital Information Systems and HIPAA compliance a plus.
