Position Summary:
  • This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting BW objects, processes for SAP FICO on BW.
  • The candidate will need to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines.
  • Essential responsibilities for this position include the following: design and development of SAP BW programs, maintenance, enhancement design and implementation, upgrades, testing, performance tuning and optimization and end-user support.
  • Additionally, the individual must perform functions such as: ensuring application availability and performance, identifying and resolving issues, data reconciliation, process and scalability improvement opportunities, test plan creation, technical and training documentation, and training support.

Required Skills:
  • 5 - 8 years of BW experience with at least 3 full life cycle implementations acting in a BW Backend Developer role
  • Extensive experience with SAP FICO , SAP RAR( Revenue accounting & reporting) data and configuration
  • Experience working with traditional SAP BW 7.5 features. Functional and integration knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP BW, and BI reporting tools
  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL with generic extractors/enhancing delivered
  • Extractors for master and transactional data

Responsible for completing Fit-Gap analysis and should be able to write/review Functional and- Technical design specifications.
  • Active participation in all aspects of the project life cycle, including gathering requirements,
  • Gap Analysis and blueprinting, system configuration, customization, testing, documenting on
  • BW BI suite of tools.

  • Participates in development of business strategies and their implications to the customer situation.
  • Participates in business development, analysis activities, and implementation phases of a project.
  • Applies demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and key issues and challenges facing a customer.
  • Leads small projects or pieces of larger projects, including the design of the project plan.
  • Interviews customer staff at senior management level to gain insights on current operations.
  • Assists with the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates and participates in sales and proposal presentations.
  • Applies knowledge, understanding and application of project management principles and methodologies to customer engagements.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with staff and management in targeted companies.
  • Researches and recommends specific techniques, methods, and testing standards for projects supported.

Minimum Education and Certifications
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
