Product Manager - Merchandising and Supply Chain

Location: Alpharetta, GA/Dallas, TX, Georgia
Key Areas of Responsibility include:
  • Development of solution requirements
  • Solution roadmap management
  • Creation and maintenance of the solution value propositions
  • Pricing strategy by market
  • Cost management
  • Maintain constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems within relevant customer base, recognize trends that develop, and manage roadmap implications.
  • Manage regular process and monthly Governance meetings
  • Optimizing analyst relationships via inquiries and briefings.
  • User Group Management, including quarterly conference calls, annual in-person, and Linked In
  • Content provision to marketing
  • Product Lifecycle Management, including creation and management of Product IDs (PIDs), and aligning data with GSDB, WOT, and SalesForce
  • Assistance in the selling process where necessary (RFPs, etc)
  • Support of Solution Sales, including ensuring demo environment and messaging is prepared
  • Seek opportunities to both represent and improve upon the GEMS portfolio by attending industry events, reading analyst reports, etc.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior product management experience with relevant software solutions.
  • Deep understand in of wholesale/foodservice supply chain solutions
  • Prior success leading in cross-functional or collaborative environments.
  • Extensive experience in business-to-business software systems is a plus.
  • Travel up to 10% – 30%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Retail technical experience in the fast-moving consumer goods vertical preferred
  • Preferred candidates will have a strong understanding of how data and transactions move through the supply chain, including master data, orders, and customer data. B2B CRM, order management, vendor funds tracking and related background of interest.”
  • Successful software track record in the retail / supply chain segments, especially the grocery, drug, discount and mass merchandising verticals.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to separate benefit from feature, and delineate competitive differentiators.
  • Must be a successful individual contributor and personally motivated to succeed.
