Need to be able to answer all the ODI/OBIEE questions (OBIA on fact tables related to finance and HR and handling large data)
Also need to answer questions about BI Apps

**They are looking for 70% ETL/ODI and 30% OBIEE candidate. This is installation work for an upgrade-configuration project.**

Scope of project: in the middle of upgrading from Oracle R11 to R12, needs someone that can be more a lead and doesn't require a lot of ramp up. Needs to have very strong communication skills. A go-getter, who is willing and wanting to take on more, needs to be flexible and capable of having a pro-active attitude. Looking for someone that is engaged and will not have any issues with speaking up during an internal meeting to make suggestions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Participate in BI/DW business requirements and user stories review sessions
•Participate in BI /DW functional and technical design sessions
•Work with Business Analysts to create prototypes for BI solutions
•Create technical specifications in accordance with business requirements documentation
•Review technical specifications with remote Developers
•Coordinate the development tasks with In-house Developers (India)
•Coordinate the testing tasks with In-house Quality Analysts and onsite Business Analysts
•Conduct quality reviews on offshore development deliverables
•Enforce BI/DW design and development standards
•Update BI/DW product documentation
•Provide hands-on technical expertise in ODI program changes, OBIEE repository changes and report changes
•Travel to business locations to participate in requirement gathering sessions and product deployment sessions
•Travel to remote development centers to build relationships, conduct technical training to remote developers
•Work with International business users to resolve BI/DW-related issues

•Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment
•Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
•Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions
•Strong technical documentation skills; ability to prepare technical specifications
•Excellent data analysis skills; ability to reconcile the reports with source applications and data warehouse
•Excellent problem solving skills; ability to troubleshoot data related issues and systems related issues
•Ability to communicate effectively with remote Developers and Quality Analysts
•Clear understanding of data warehouse and BI concepts

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Experience of managing OBIEE technical resources of minimum team size of 6 to 10 members
•Resource management – should have experience of managing resources and their work allocation.
•Prior experience of managing vendor resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
•Between 7-10 years of Information Technology experience required
•Between 5-7 years of BI/DW development experience required
•Experience with ODI required
•Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition required
•Experience with Oracle prepackaged BI applications required
•Understanding of Oracle EBS applications required
•Experience with Oracle Essbase cubes preferred
•Experience with Oracle Database programming required
•Experience with other databases, such as SQL Server, preferred
•Experience in collaborating with remote development teams required
•Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripts preferred.
•Oracle Certified Professional (OCP ) will be added advantage
•Functional Proficiency on Packaged BI Application (Oracle)
