Senior Tax Analyst

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a International Sr. Tax Analyst opening to join our Corporate Tax organization.

Day to Day

There is no typical day in the Whirlpool Corporation tax department. It is a dynamic, high energy fast paced environment that will develop and challenge even the most sophisticated tax professional. Today, you might be preparing tax returns and assisting with responses on current IRS audits. Next week, you could be working with team members to develop and implement various tax planning strategies.

What You Will Do

With minimal direction, a senior analyst is responsible for performing complex departmental activities, analyzing and interpreting data and providing advice to help others make decisions. This role is accountable for individual assignments and assigned tasks; therefore span of control is limited to themselves. Problem solving skills in this role should include addressing recurring and unpredictable problems and recommending process improvements. Typically, these employees contacts are within their own department as well as supervisors/managers outside own department. Seniors report to their manager and may supervise and mentor analyst to associate level employees. Training responsibilities include standardized practices and complex processes. This role typically requires proficiency gained through 1-3 years experience in the same role at the analyst/accountant/auditor level.
Qualifications:
What You Need to Succeed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid tax and accounting back ground in US corporate taxation
  • Good organizational skills and initiative
  • Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or economics
  • two to five years of tax or accounting experience
  • CPA and or public accounting experience a plus
