Datacenter Ops/Service Operations ops

Job Description:
  • Oversees the implementation of enterprise-wide systems.
  • Performs Tier 3 engineering support and escalation for all infrastructure systems.
  • Performs Tier 2 engineer support and escalation for systems monitoring generated alerts and issues.
  • Deploys, configures, and maintains the health of the FTI systems infrastructure.
  • Develops and maintains enterprise-wide architectural standards.
  • Provides project management on assigned projects.
  • Assists in the development, roll-out, and execution of tasks to maintain service level agreements.
  • Develops, maintains, and executes documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for the day to day sustaining activities and monitoring for the FTI global enterprise.
  • Leads and is responsible for the completion of tasks, change controls, and responses to escalations and alerts for other engineers.
  • Supervises Operations Engineers in situations defined by management.
  • Responsible for the execution and maintenance of:
  • Operational Calendars
  • Use and compliance with FTI's Change Management Control Process
  • Incident Reporting and tracking
  • Develops and manages the execution of datacenter facilities tasks including access control, climate control, and power and communications management and monitoring.
  • Responsible for comprehensive NOC operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting and resolution of issues and escalating to the appropriate technical resources to resolve issues.
  • Analyzes and maintains performance data to ensure optimal usage of the resources available.
  • Executes Change Controls as required to support trouble ticket resolution, planned maintenance, and assists other engineers as requested.
  • Daily time entry to record billable and non-billable time.
  • Support other IT staff with open and unresolved issues.
  • Provides on-call support via cell-phone or pager 24 x 7.
  • Take on responsibilities as a backup or alternate for other IT staff.
  • Cover and resolve any outstanding Service Desk related issues in an effort to help all IT members resolve tickets as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Physical labor from time to time, which may include moving equipment, furniture, etc.
  • Periodic travel required, sometimes with little notice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3 years operational experience in the operation of an enterprise environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Server deployment, configuration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with MS technologies: Windows Server platforms, MS Exchange, and MS SQL Server.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience using DNS and TCP/IP in an enterprise environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with NAS and SAN storage infrastructures in an enterprise environment.
  • Certification in core area (MCSE or MCITP and CCNA,CCDA, or CCNA-Security)
