Senior Electrical Technician

The successful candidate must have a proven track record in the electrical assembly, installation and troubleshooting fields, specifically with complex integrated systems. Typically 5 or more years of successful experience with successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented below:
Must Have
Experienced in the assembly of complex electro-mechanical machinery and its associated sub-assemblies.
Superior ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematic diagrams, specifications and work instructions.
Thorough understanding of PLC ladder logic including the ability to monitor ladder input and output states using a laptop when necessary for debug purposes
Excellent troubleshooting skills including the ability to accurately identify and component failures and assembly or wiring errors when system malfunctions are discovered
Ability to test apparatus at the top level or subassembly level to ensure conformance with drawings and verify correct functionality.
Thorough familiarity of and compliance experience with NFPA70E, "Electrical safety in the workplace”
Working knowledge of NFPA70 and 79
Familiarity with the use of basic electrical test equipment such as VOMs, Amprobes, Hi-Pots, Meggers etc.
Effective verbal and written communications skills which include proficiency with Microsoft Word generating clear and concise specification

Associates degree or 2 years vocational / technical training is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent is required

Nice to Have

Proficiency in the use AutoCAD
Knowledge of power distribution systems including DC and poly-phase AC systems
Enclosure design rules in accordance with UL 508A
Familiarity with oscilloscopes and other complex test equipment
Conduit bending and installation experience
