Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect -

Softpath System, LLC is looking for an experience Pre/Post Sales Cloud Solutions Architects (SAs) . You should be an experienced technologist with technical depth and interpersonal skills. This is a customer facing role and the candidate will assist with customers to help build applications at scale. As a Pre/Post Sales Cloud Solutions Architect you will work as part of a highly technical team of professionals who are responsible for all architectural design, development and deployment of cost effective and sustainable infrastructures to meet business requirements. The Architect is also responsible in cross-functional role for design and planning activities to ensure implementation of applications and services identified as requirements by the customer. This includes the design of platforms and infrastructures including servers, storage, workstations, middleware, non-application software, networks, and the physical facilities that support the applications and business processes required by the SaaS product and development specifications. The Architect must be experienced in the deployment of DevOps with technologies like Chef and Puppet, building web & mobile scale-out applications using Memcached or Redis, RDBMS (MySQL, AWS Aurora, Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres) and/or NoSQL (AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Cassandra) data stores, building IoT use cases and implementing big data analytics w/ technologies like Hadoop, Spark, EMR, RedShift, and Kinesis.

  • Partner with the sales team to design solutions for customers, drive AWS adoption and revenue.
  • Be an AWS evangelist for Softpath System, LLC. Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence to ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
  • Conduct deep-dive "hands-on” education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
  • Heavily engage in continuing education and training.
  • Present sessions with AWS and industry conferences.
  • Technical liaison between customers, service engineering & support teams.
  • Support post sales in a managed services environment
  • 7+ years software/technology customer facing experience
  • Experience with "on premise to cloud” migrations or IT transformations
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions build on AWS
  • Recent AWS Technical training/certification preferred but not required
  • 10+ years of IT consulting experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group leadership and executive presentations.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Math background preferred
  • Engaging with C-level executives to define Enterprise cloud strategies.
  • TCO, Cost/Benefit modeling and creating compelling business cases for migration.
  • Generating cloud migration roadmaps and driving buy-in across complex organization structures.
  • Designing, building, and operating global IT infrastructures.
  • A proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • A proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects.
  • Ability to travel to client locations when needed.
  • Broad Enterprise systems experience including SAP, Oracle, MSFT and custom Java/.NET, VM Ware, and CITRIX applications.
  • Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
