Full job description:
SUMMARY
The Senior Application Coordinator designs, builds, tests, validates, and supports clinical applications. Obtains and maintains in-depth knowledge of the application functionality, and acquires knowledge of the clinical/business workflows to be implemented on the system. Jointly with each other, and with the department representatives, designs future-state workflows and builds the system to support the new workflows. Work with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team. Provides excellent customer service and maintains professionalism at all times.

Job Responsibilities:
Obtains and maintains EPIC certification in assigned application module. Provides EPIC product function, design, and build expertise and experience needed for successful product implementation.
Works flexible hours, carries pager/provides on-call coverage including after hours and weekends to support the needs of the organization, and provides on-site support as needed during Go-live, Downtime events
Serves as the main primary resource dedicated to application design, validation, and build within assigned area. Assesses current state, designs and implements future-state workflows by interacting with department representatives to analyze business/operational needs, and translates these into proper system configuration
Provides demonstration of system functionality, creates and submits regular status reports to immediate Lead Analyst/Project Manager/IT Leadership as assigned. Coordinates/facilitates organizational meetings and attends weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, changes, communications, and updates.
Develops, supports, and maintains documentation and procedures as needed and provides training to other IT staff and user clients as appropriate.
Troubleshoots problems identified by team members and end-users, analyzes, and coordinates system changes, and implements approved changes based on customer-designated priorities
Reviews and tests build and new releases/enhancements prior to implementing in the production environment, and maintains established guidelines related to build standards (logs/tracks issues, naming and numbering conventions, build trackers, etc) and Change Control processes
Collaborates with Principal Trainers in the design and development of role-based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented, and assists with training of end users on proper use of the system
Contributes to preparation of testing scripts, performs unit/system/integrated testing tasks in a structured manner, and appropriately documents test results.
Provides expertise and experience to the development of activation plans, application activation tasks, and production environment readiness

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
3-5 years' experience providing analytical support of administrative and clinical applications in a large health system
3-5 years' experience implementing advanced clinical applications that cross multiple disciplines
Ability to deal with a number of tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail, with advanced knowledge of database design, system integration, and operational process flow
Communicate effectively with technical team as well as managers and end users - both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Strong organizational skills
Possesses an understanding of EMR system capabilities to address process requirements
