Short Description:
This position is in Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Walpole, MA Technical Operations Dept. supporting Immunoassay Products for ADVIA Centaur & CP. Temporary position required due to increased workload.

Complete Description:
This position is in the Siemens Healthcare, Walpole MA Technical Operations Manufacturing Support Department, supporting all Immunoassay Products for the ADVIA Centaur and CP platforms. Duties include preparation of human serum, plasma and urine based samples and running clinical diagnostic based immunoassays on automated equipment; putting data into spreadsheets, and doing basic data analysis in relation to troubleshooting of manufacturing lots in process (WIP); documentation work such as updating procedures and working with other quality documents; and special projects as assigned. Additional work will include raw material and manufacturing process change validations. Provides assistance in cleaning of laboratory equipment and general laboratory maintenance and cleaning processes as well as scanning and copying documents.

Provides assistance in stock and maintenance process of laboratory supplies. Assists with the organization of all walk-in cold rooms and freezers to best use available space and allow easy access to materials by laboratory staff. Assists with general maintenance responsibilities (i.e. disposal of trash) related to the laboratory.

Performs routine work within area of specialization.

Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, procedures, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor or manager.

Temporary position required due to tincreased workload troubleshooting immunoassay issues.

Typical Education: BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry

Must be able to work in the United States.

Typical Job Related Experience: 1-3 Years Experience

Specific Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently with a proven drive for success. Experience in a diagnostics laboratory or diagnostic industry setting, and Microsoft Office are a plus.
