Business Operations Manager

Salary Range:

The Business Office Manager directs the finance and revenue functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting, cost and reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care industry.
Takes the lead on billing and follow-up of all Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, co-insurance, and managed care billing for the facility. Primarily responsible for cash collections and A/R goals of the facility. The Business Office Manager will also work very closely with the Revenue Cycle department to ensure financial alignment.

High school diploma or GED is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred.
Five (5) years of Long Term Care experience is required.
Experience in third-party billing and reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid, co-insurance, managed care and private collections preferably in a long term care/skilled nursing facility is required.
Two (2) years of managing and leading a team is required.
Must have experience with Managed Medical, HMO billing, appeals, private collections, monitoring aging, month end closing, Medicare/Medicaid.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must be motivated with a can-do attitude: creates and fosters a positive work experience for self and others.
Must possess advanced knowledge of and skill in using computers and related software for word processing (such as Word), spreadsheet (such as Excel), accounting and billing software.
