Job Description is as below:
Highly motivated and results-oriented individual to help support server systems in an operations environment. The media family of products enables service providers to deliver audio/video services over IP to a variety of different types of client devices such as set-top boxes, PCs, Tablets and mobile phones. Audio/video services can include, but not limited to Live TV, Live Smooth Streaming, Video on Demand, Pay Per View, and DVR.

The individual will work on end-to-end systems that acquire live TV and video on demand services, process those services and package them into secure streams through media and deliver the services to client devices. The individual will work on systems and content deployment, support secure communication and functionality between system entities. The individual will also support and provide solutions to changing requirements in a development and testing environment.

The ideal candidate must have sound troubleshooting skills, especially when dealing with complex and ambiguous issues. The candidate must have the ability to find root cause of problems through a variety of methodologies and resolve them by using innovative engineering practices, and document those innovations into engineering standards, while monitoring the overall quality of incident management. The individual must be able to work collaboratively with engineers as well The individual will also help contribute to improve internal process by developing procedure standards and building tools to help automate repetitive actions.

  • Server deployment and support experience required
  • Analyze network traffic (TCP, UDP, Multicast, HTTP, HTTPS, RTP)
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux Windows Server 2008, and 2012 Standard/Enterprise, SQL, .NET, IIS, XML, ISAPI, COM, DCOM, COM+
  • Experience with PKI to support certificate services and SSL communications
  • Experience on System Center (SCCM, SCVMM, SCOM) and Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in complex or highly-charged situations
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Ability to understand and translate customer deployment requirements into viable solutions
