prefer local university student, must be at least a sophomore or above pursuing software engineering or IT degree.

Will be working with at least two other experienced Engineers. Looking for a candidate that is interested in gaining good experience and can work 8-5 for the summer.

Job Description
• Provide day-to-day support of desktop PC software applications
• Schedule and install new software applications on instrument workstations
• Perform preventative maintenance on computers and workstations
• Perform special projects as assigned by Service Team Leader
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues on instrument workstations
• Research questions using available information resources
• Stay current with system information, changes and updates
• Assist subject matter experts with IT configurations for connectivity to AssurityLinc
Justification
Temporary support needed from a software engineering intern to assist subject matter experts in setting up AssurityLinc connections and provide day-to-day support for software applications.

Requirements/Qualification


Currently progressing toward a Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar Bachelor of Science degree.
Strong knowledge of current Windows operating systems up to and including Windows 10.
Experience with MS Office 2010/16 and Office for Mac, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
Knowledge of and the ability to diagnose issues with MS Office for Apple and PC.
Basic understanding of Network Protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.).
Strong multi-tasking ability with a real focus on Customer Service.
Good communication with end-users and customer focused.
Good problem solving and root cause analytical capabilities.
Positive working attitude and be a committed team player
Associates degree preferred
Good working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Office
Experience with Windows 10, Windows 7, Server 2012
Understanding of LAN and Networking concepts
Excellent customer service skills that could assist non-technical users in a professional and friendly manner
