Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Website UI/UX Designer/Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals This position in Washington, DC at L'Enfant Plaza. The desired candidate will provide website design/development support for a federal customer.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop internet/intranet/extranet applications.
• Required to produce designs that engage the target user through interactive features, photos, graphics and logical navigation systems. The designs must adhere to federal requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree in computer science or applicable area A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience with website development and supporting business needs/requirements gathering or equivalent training and experience.
Minimum Required skills:
• Advanced development skills in UI/UX; HTML, CSS, PHP, JS
• Ability to write HTML, CSS, PHP, JS from scratch
• Ability to create and edit PHP code
• Strong knowledge of the inner-workings and methodology of WordPress, careful use of plugins and WP themes.
• The ability to develop a WordPress theme from scratch
• Work independently and able to manage own projects with little supervision
• Attention to detail and approaches work with initiative and a high sense of urgency
• A willingness to engage with people to understand situations and solve problems.
• Experience with a variety of CMS platforms and with standardizing deployment practices.
• The individual will be expected to work independently or semi-independently with a minimum of guidance or direction.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Client Sensitive clearance (US Citizen or Green Card holder)
Candidate will need to submit examples of work.

Preferred skills:
• Skilled in MySQL, CSS3, SASS and HTML5, jQuery, AngularJS
• Knowledge of WordPress / PHP security vulnerabilities
• Familiarity with Adobe suite products such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
• Familiarity with Bootstrap and other web grid systems
