JOB TITLE:
Product Manager – Communication APIs

As a Communication API Product Manager, you will be responsible for working on API requirements for Telecommunication’s communication platforms, planning & prioritizing sprints with the engineers, and developing the product vision and roadmap.


JOB DUTIES:
• Develop and drive the Communication API solutions roadmap. Analyze CPaaS and embedded communications market trends. Re-imagine new ways of utilizing communication technologies to empower enterprises to drive tighter engagement with their customers/employees/partners and do-more-with-less.
• Mock up new concepts, write user stories, functional specs, and do whatever it takes to express your ideas to engineers, other product managers, and senior leadership team.
• Drive API adoption. Engage with internal and external development ecosystem to evangelize the platform and APIs, collaborate on solution development, and anticipate services, new APIs, training and other needs to grow the ecosystem.


MUST HAVE SKILLS:
• You have 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager for a technology company.
• You have deep knowledge and experience with messaging and communication technologies; including SMS, WebRTC, SIP, IVR and other voice and messaging protocols.
• Experience developing API & SDK requirements for communication solutions.
• Experience with mobile development platforms (iOS and Android).
• You’re highly technical and passionate about “the business of APIs”. You have a solid understanding of the API value chain and needs of developers and application end users.
• You’re hands-on, passionate, and collaborative. You get things done. You are a person who thrives in a fast moving environment with a heavy dose of ambiguity. You should have experience shipping products in a fast-paced environment.
• You have experience writing code - for fun, college, or work. We are looking for someone with a technical bent to communicate with our engineers, as well as our engineering-focused customers


DESIRED SKILLS:
• You have experience with Telcos.
• You have experience with Cisco and Broadsoft UCaaS platforms.
• You have experience with agile development. Experience with JIRA is a plus.
• You have experience with WebRTC, Java, JavaScript, HTML 5, XML, REST, and JSON.
• You have experience with big data / machine learning / AI.
• You have experience with call centers, contact centers and customer experience.


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering required. Master’s Degree preferred.


REQUIRED SHIFT:
Standard 9-5, M-F. Location is Basking Ridge, NJ.
