Warehouse Clerk - Junior

Description/Comment:Under general supervision the warehouse technician is responsible for maintaining secure inventory storage and control of materials into and out of facilities as well as physical counts of assets to verify integrity. They will perform duties or duties associated with storage, shipping, receiving, and testing of equipment and supplies. As needed the Warehouse Technician will provide assistance in the administration and purchasing of assets along with the assessment of inventory data.


1. Follow all processes related to safety, work flow and quality
2. Provide excellent service to all internal and external customers
3. Physically inventory, stock and retrieve supplies, materials and equipment in one or multiple facilities
4. Operates various types of material handling equipment
5. Be able to recognize shortages or damages of materials and notify management
6. Load and unload individual pieces, boxes, cartons, pallets or other containers of materials used in daily operations
7. Receive materials against a Bill of Lading or Purchase Order validating quantities and updating required inventory software systems in accordance with local established and Charter audit requirements
8. Ensures Materials are stored safety in designated inventory locations in accordance with local and Charter audit requirements
9. Pick, stage and properly prepare shipments of materials
10. Processes orders, Material requests and returns using required inventory and billing software systems
11. Assures equipment and materials are issued accurately and received for by utilizing local and Supply Chain approved documentation procedures
12. Makes delivery of materials to retail stores, off-site warehouses and/or other locations as needed
13. Assists in preparing, counting and reconciling of daily, monthly and annual materials cycle counts and inventories
1. Maintain warehouse area security at all times
2. Proper use and care of scanners and computers used in daily operations
3. Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and safe warehouse environment
4. Performs other associated duties as assigned or requested by leadership
1. Must possess strong customer service skills and a commitment toward internal/external customer satisfaction
2. Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a concise and professional manner
3. Knowledge of basic mathematics
4. Ability to bend/squat/kneel repetitively
5. Ability to provide own safety boots
6. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
7. Ability to maintain accurate records
8. Ability to communicate and prioritize workloads
9. Must possess the ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
10. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
11. Must be able to follow instructions and work independently
12. Must demonstrate self-motivation and ability to perform effectively in a multi-tasking environment
13. Ability to safely use weight-bearing equipment (such as safety harness and ladders) within the maximum weight limitations of that equipment
14. Requires ability to process basic transactions in inventory and billing systems and operate bar coding equipment
15. Ability to operate computers and computer software
16. Data entry and basic typing skills required
17. Must be able to work in a fast paced high stress environment
18. May be required to run test
19. May require the ability to safely operate a forklift and to comply with company forklift safety certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Experience in a warehouse environment preferred

Additional Job Details:Steel toed shoes - 7:00am to 4:00pm
