Northrop Grumman Technology Services is in need of a talented and experienced writer to craft and edit content for our omni-channel content pipeline. The main goal of this role is to generate, nurture and cultivate stories that will generate awareness around the people and technologies at work within the Technology Services sector. The ideal candidate will be an expert wordsmith and storyteller who can showcase our sector’s value in a compelling way. You should be a stickler for meeting deadlines and managing their own time in support of multiple projects at once. AP style is a must. Ability to create compelling visual content is a plus. The preferred candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to distill complex technical ideas to creative, human interest-type stories.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience in communications, journalism or related field or 4 years of experience with a master’s degree.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Well-versed in Associated Press Stylebook rules.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer 5 years experience in Communications either writing as a freelancer or within a Corporate Communications department.
Adobe Creative Suite experience.
Experience with visual storytelling employing such techniques as infographics.
Podcasting experience a plus.
Web experience (i.e., writing for the web and/or content management experience).
Experience writing in the technology industry, Aerospace and Defense industry or for Silicon Valley.
