Database Administrator - III

Senior-level DBA resource with 8+ years of Oracle database administration experience. The candidate must possess end-to-end understanding of the Oracle database technologies, which includes Oracle Golden Gate, Dataguard, RMAN , OEM , performance tuning using AWR, ADDM. This position will require to be on a rotating on-call production support

Strong Oracle DBA experience:
• Provide senior level technical support, technical architecture and administration of Oracle DBA
• Install and maintain software(11g, 12c) including upgrades and database administration; apply CPU patches,
• Strong technical skills in Oracle Database Installations, Troubleshooting, Upgrades
• Proven experience using RMAN for Backup and Restore
• Demonstrated excellent skills in problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, performance monitoring and tuning
• Excellent skills in setup and managing Oracle DataGuard and database restore and recovery
• Excellent skill in Oracle RAC (11g), ASM Administration / upgrade
• Demonstrated strong skills for performance tuning using Database AWR, ADDM and ASH Reports
• Demonstrated strong Oracle Golden Gate setup and problem resolution skills (familiarity with Integrated and Classic Capture mode)
• Demonstrated skills of OEM management and administration (13c , 12c preferably)
• Responsible for performance testing and tuning, system builds, dataguard setup and resolution, version upgrades
• Excellent unix level scripting skills
• Strong Unix OS fundamentals required for performance trouble shooting and/or new DB installs
• Knowledge of AWS technology offerings and solutions architect/system operations certification desired
• Oracle Transparent Data Encryption experience – desired
• Oracle Secure TNS experience – desired
• Technical skills related to architecture and infrastructure capabilities such as integration architecture, data architecture, data warehousing infrastructure and data delivery infrastructure.
• Measurement of DBMS performance and tuning, diagnosis of problems. Modification of system-level configuration to optimize performance. Interface with developers and modelers for performance and data access requirements
• Proven experience being on-call production support for mission critical databases
• Experience with Oracle databases supporting SAP desired

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each oracle instance
• Design and implement an optimal database configuration to maximize system performance and availability
• Administer the SAP database with Database Administrators (plan and perform database upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and maintain physical database layout, perform database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, manage database storage, database problem determination and resolution, etc.)
• Participate in the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades with Basis Team
• Participate in a rotating weekly on-call production support
