Job Title: .NET and Middle-Tier Developer

A Web Applications and Middle-Tier Developer for the Applications Team. The successful candidate is expected to develop applications and services to support Department operations such as the management of correctional functions and field services. Applications developed may be deployed to public, partner or departmental web sites.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

X Experience in developing custom applications, services and products using C# .Net
X Experience developing and implementing projects leveraging the MS development stack including:
X ASP.NET
X MVC
X Entity Framework
X ASP.NET Web API
X WCF
X Proficient in developing web-based applications using Visual Studio .NET 2012 or above.
X Experience with HTML5, XML, CSS
X Experience with AJAX ,JavaScript, jQuery, JSON and REST architectures
X Experience with Bootstrap, or similar UI tools
X Able to support and extend Web Services to support interfaces to partners (Sacramento Courts, etc.)
X Basic understanding of Transact SQL for Microsoft SQL Server.
X Able to work in a team development environment using the TFS and GIT based source control system.

Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of professional software design and development using the technologies/techniques listed above
OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS:

X Hands-on experience with Splunk is plus
X Experience building and deploying applications using AWS and Azure cloud platforms
X Familiar with various data transport protocols including SFTP, XML
X Experience in SSRS and SSIS
X IIS web site administration including web server performance monitoring.
X Familiar with HTTPS and web security concepts.
X Basic understanding of networking principles.
X Ability to analyze system resource usage and constraints.
X Recognizes problems, develops recommendations and solutions within assigned specialty.
X Works independently and follows through on assignments.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Full-time contract, M-F 8-5
Initial contract is 12 mos.
