PMP Certified Project Manager (with UI and Product Management)

Client is partnered with a major transportation organization in their search for a PMP Certified Senior Project Manager to join their team in Washington, DC. Manager will require a F2F Interview, so need local candidates (VA, MD, DC)
We ask that candidates have a product management mindset for this role. At its basic level, this means that we need someone who makes decisions to maximize companys value (via marketable and/or profitable products).

MAIN REQUIRED SKILLS:

Agile, Kanban, User Stories, etc

REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing
-Must possess a driver personality with task orientation
-Demonstrates strong attention to detail with a heavy emphasis on delivering top quality results
-Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
-Excellent verbal and written skills, including strong presentation skills
-Expertise with Office 365 suite of applications
-An active understanding of business and technology to achieve this goal is highly essential
-Exposure to Road mapping of strategic goals and breaking into smaller parts through iterations
-Kanban, Agile, User Stories, EPICS, etc.
-Natural understanding of how requirements, features, capabilities and User Stories tie together
-Exposure to working with a technical matrixed team of product engineers to implement a product through the product lifecycle management (PLM)
-Understanding of UI/UX and how this ties into personas/actors. This ensures you are building with users in mind, not just a system
-Process mapping and the tie to product delivery
-Must have hands on experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Server, and be extremely proficient with project scheduling
-Must have hands on experience driving an RFP from issuance to contract award
-Experience with implementing legal management systems highly desirable but not required
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Standard IT project management tasks
-managing projects to completion
-managing the process of definition and development of detailed requirements
-expertise to manage a technical team.
-The Project Manager is responsible for successful completion of all phases of the project life cycle and compliance with PMO governance framework (artifacts and Quality Gates).
-Maintains project management standards and procedures and is responsible for defining project guidelines, obtaining business and information technology sponsor approvals, and coordinating resources necessary to successfully complete the project within scope, schedule and budget.
-This position leads the refinement of requirements, development of plans and schedules, performs budget management (forecasting and tracking of actuals), project reporting and maintenance.
