From the Manager:
I am looking for a strong database developer/administrator who has plenty of experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, Performance Tuning, Materialized views, supporting cube refreshes etc. However, as my teams are moving towards cloud based solutions, this person needs to have some exposure to AWS or be fully open to learn/develop/administer technologies like Postgres, MemSQL, Spark, SQOOP etc. Good communication skills is a must. We are looking for a strong developer who has good understanding of the database management concepts. We'll be moving lots of our assets to cloud in 2018 and therefore a developer is more valuable to me in the long run than a pure PROD DBA, however, understanding of the database tuning and other DBA concepts is a must irrespective of the new database we pick on cloud.
