The Commodity Manager will be accountable for proactively managing the supply base within the assigned commodity; working in close collaboration with Purchasing, Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing and other internal parties to proactively drive supplier selection, assessment, negotiations, contract performance, supply base consolidations, quality improvements, cost reductions, and another critical performance metrics.

What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements on this position?
5 - 8 years of progressive commodity/supply chain management experience; including four or more years of supplier evaluation/assessment, purchasing, sourcing, general finance, logistics, and/or manufacturing/operations experience with demonstrated competency in electronic components, strategic sourcing, e-commerce, TCO/design-to-cost, and design-for-service BA/BS undergraduate degree in Materials Management, Business (with emphasis in Supply Chain Management), Operations Management, or other technical discipline (i.e., EE, ME, QE, IE) Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
What are the nice-to-have skills?
BA/BS in Engineering with 3 or more years of experience in the Electronics Industry Five or more years of solid corporate supply chain, procurement, quality, operations, and/or process management experience, including at least 4 years' experience with commodity management encompassing the entire supply chain from sub-supplier, materials management, logistics, customs, etc. Previous Consulting experiences with top firms will be preferred Strategic planning and change management skills. APICS or ISM Certification (e.g., CPIM, CIRM, CSCM, C.P.M.). Working knowledge of and experience with ERP systems
