Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) of Science or Engineering from four-year college or university and five years of proven progressive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SQF Level III and FSMA PCQI experiences/certificates preferred or can be obtained in position.
  • Prefer candidate with prior experience in Food industry
  • ASQ Quality Engineer certification (CQE) or equivalent desirable. Candidates may pursue this certification concurrently, but must be able to demonstrate competency with statistical analysis.
  • Six sigma and/or lean manufacturing experience is desirable. Ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance & Technical Manager of the Kerry, Evansville position is the most senior quality position at the facility who reports into the Director of Quality and cross-functionally to the plant manager. This position does have direct reports in exempt and non-exempt quality roles.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant Quality department. This involves organizational development, personnel assessment, training, direction and motivation.
  • Develop and maintain procedures which assure product and service quality including ingredient and packaging control, product testing and clearance, product disposition system and rework control, GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), HACCP, manufacturing procedures, aged inventory policy and may include quality systems and sanitation audits.
  • Communicate and enforce Kerry standards in the areas of ingredient and product standards, process specifications, formula compliance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and lead the plant Quality Improvement Program in the areas of specifications and trending review, complaint investigation and corrective action, production right-the-first-time (RTFT), analytical and sensory capability of the QC team.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for Evansville: Externally with customers and vendors; and internally with R&D and supply chain for the commercialization process.
