Qualifications

Responsibilities
The Production Supervisor is located in Evansville, IN, and reports into the Production Manager. This is plant within our Meat division and has around 130 employees, union facility and runs 24/7. This is a flex shift position, with 12 hour shifts ranging from 6:00am - 6:00pm and 6:00pm - 6:00am with occassional weekends. The Production Supervisor is responsibile for:
  • Leading production staff, up to 30, to achieve production targets in a safe and efficient manner
  • Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments to achieve and sustain results
  • Leads team members by managing and executing plant processes
  • Supports continuous improvement processes to ensure safety, quality, cost, and customer service goals are met
  • Maintains an engaged and team-oriented workforce to meet business demands

Who does this position report to?
Production Manager INTAKE CALL NOTES: This is a union facility. The shifts are: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, OR 6:00 pm - 6:00 am. There is usually a 4 day rotation (4 days on with 4 days off). There are occasional weekend shifts. Candidates may have to switch shift from day to nights. There is a 5% supervisor bonus (yearly bonus). Food & beverage experience is highly preferred. The site is a closed campus. Employees do not leave during their shift. Direct Reports: There is up to 30 production operations, with 2 production operations onsite per shift. The candidate will need to be able to be hands on should the need arise. Maintaining a budget, not rolling it out. Plant size: 140 people and 120 of them are hourly. This plant makes breading and coating for meat products: chicken and fish. The plant runs 24/7. Allergens: dairy, soy, egg, wheat, coconut. They are baking the bread. airborne allergens. Interview Process: First Round: screen with Kerry HR Second Round: then an onsite interview (Hour and a half - 2 45 minute panels) with the HR Generalist, Production Manager, Plant Manager, Safety Manager.
