Dev/Opps Engineer
Apex Systems, the nation’s 2nd largest IT Staffing organization, has an immediate and exciting opportunity for a Dev/Opps Engineer for one the Nation’s Top Healthcare companies located in Columbus, Ohio area. This opportunity is for a 6 month contract.

•The Dev/Opps Engineer will work as part of a highly interactive team that is responsible for data analytics across the world for their medical division.

Responsibilities:
Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope
Implements automation, anti-fragility solutions, monitoring, and alerting
Implements continuous integration/continuous deployment solutions, automated testing solutions, and infrastructure/platforms as code solutions
Building/improving/documenting processes and workflows
Propels a culture of DevOps and automation to create speed and efficiency
Build testing APIs
Build automation platform, databases, data catalogs, and reports
Build chaos monkeys in order to test Key Performance Client
Qualifications:
• Direct experience in large, technically complex solutions
• Understands complex platforms and translating issues into non-technical terms
• Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service orientation, and an understanding of the importance of meeting customer needs and maintaining strong customer satisfaction
Ability to be a problem solver along with ability to take initiative in foreseeing potential problems and communicating them to appropriate leadership
• Demonstrated success and effectiveness working in and promoting a rapidly changing, collaborative, and time-critical work environment
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Technical skills:
Experience working with AWS cloud platforms
Experience with Automation tools (CloudFormation, JSON, Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, etc.)
Strong programming experience with Python and Bash
Familiarity with data movement tools (SQL, Matillion, AWS Glue, Datastage, IBM CDC, Oracle Goldengate, Attunity Replicate/Cloud Beam, HVR, etc)
Familiarity with SQL and RDBMS concepts (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus
