Role Description & Responsibilities:
Supporting the thinkorswim production environment
Provide expert level engineering, strategic and support direction for a set of Oracle 11G+ database clusters running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Design & implement changes to the environment that increases sustainability, resiliency, efficiency, and availability.
Contribute to projects as the tech lead and offer solutions to engineering conflicts.
Responsibilities also include supporting the production environment, responding to event escalations, and assisting in service restoration.
Database clusters: make sure they are running efficient and at optimum performance
Projects: upgrades, manage free space, investigating new technologies
Operational support and project delivery focus
Requirements: 3-5 total YOE in below skills
Oracle 12c RAC/GI experience
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5
Strong database tuning and performance analysis experience
Ability to work well under pressure in production support situations
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Strong learning agility, curiosity and problem solving skills

Agility when dealing with multiple projects and production issues
