Job Description – Business Analyst/CRM Tester
As a Business Analyst/CRM Tester at KCP&L, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the testing efforts for our CRM/MAP project by working with the project team that includes both IT and business team members. This individual will work with the project team to develop testing scenarios to validate system functionality. This position will be responsible for test execution of CRM application using various browsers and tools. Test execution will include the use of automated and manual testing methods to validate features functionality. The Business Analyst/CRM Tester will ensure that the requirements and test cases are documented accurately and consistently with other concurrent projects at KCP&L.
Work with project team to develop test plan, test scenarios, and test cases
Execute test cases
Provide feedback to developers and work with them to resolve the identified defects
Performing ad-hoc testing for quick fixes and priority deployments
Coach and advice testers as required.
Report and document issues
Timely and accurate communication of testing events, daily status, and test execution results
Understand and apply project testing requirements at the beginning of each sprint/test cycle
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Understands and considers standard concepts, best practices and procedures related to application development.
Ability to participate in defect resolution process - to triage defects,
Ability to identify and document risks and issues in a timely manner.
Ability to work within a team as well as independently
Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organization and facilitation skills
Proven knowledge of the content and purpose of project testing plans
Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment
Working knowledge of business goals, software quality standards and best practices.
Ability to facilitate small to medium project testing team meetings effectively, accurately and timely.
Ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
Quickly adapts to multiple demands and rapidly changing priorities.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel to various local company sites
Education & Experience Requirements
Experience working with Hewlett-Packard Application Lifecycle Management (Client ALM), Quality Center (QC) Testing Tools,
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint. Visio)
5+ years as a Business Analyst/Functional Consultant
CRM implementation experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with CRM Principles, workflows, capabilities and functions.
Minimum 2 years of experience with writing and executing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for web applications
Experience with testing mobile applications
Experience of automated testing and tools will be preferable.
Experience with web applications and various web browsers (MS IE, Firefox, Chrome)
Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and estimation skills
Business analysis and requirements experience
Experience with the software lifecycle and testing
Experience with issue/bug/defect tracking tools
