EPMO Strategic Project Manager

This position reports to the EPMO Director and acts as lead PM for high visibility, enterprise-level projects, or as part of a PM team on very large, cross-functional initiatives. You will have the opportunity to utilize your PM discipline, business acumen and consulting skills to ensure successful execution of high-value, high-impact complex projects that support the strategic goals and priorities of the enterprise. The position works with the entire PM team to actively support the continuous improvement and ongoing utilization of an enterprise Project Management Methodology). You will rely on your ability to build relationships across areas and divisions to ensure high quality client experience.

Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business or related field

Preferred Education

Master's Degree MBA or Healthcare

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Intermediate consulting skills such as contracting and negotiating
Advanced ability to manage projects within tight time, cost and quality targets.
Advanced organization skills and ability to understand large complex ideas; ability to work and reduce to smaller elements: prioritized and sequenced
Advanced ability to identify problems, research solutions and reduce impacts to work
Strong relationship management skills
Effective at communicating with all levels of the organization, including written communication, presentation and facilitation
Advanced understanding and use of planning tools and business processes
Advanced understanding and use of PM tools and methodologies
Basic understanding of lean principles, tools and methods

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

Understands and has used lean tools and methods

Minimum Experience Requirements
3 years leading teams
3 years managing large strategic projects and working with Senior or Executive leaders
7 years project management

Preferred Experience

5 years leading teams
5 years managing large strategic projects; working with Senior or Executive leaders
10 or more years project management

At time of hire PMP: Project Management Professional Certification

This is NOT an IT PM focused role. IT experienced candidates will be considered on a case by case basis and only they have a good balance of enterprise level, complex, strategic implementation business/operations focused experience.
