 The Excalibur Group is currently seeking a Technical Writer for an opportunity in the Washington Metropolitan area to support a State contract.

  • Education: Bachelors' Degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations or other related field.
  •  5 years of progressively responsible experience in technical writing.
  • 3 years of experience supporting an Information Technology office.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively.
  • Ability to use computer hardware and software including social media, computer graphics, and other audiovisual equipment.
  • Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
  • Develop, review, edit, revise, and publish Office newsletters and official organization-wide documents and policies.
  • Be able to learn and apply established and standardized writing principles, methods, and techniques, styles, practices, and systems.
  • Will frequently use computers, printers, copiers, and facsimile machines, calculators, and telephone equipment including voice mail.
